Local Caregiver Nominated for National Award

Earns Spot Among Nation’s Best

September 30, 2024–Blue Rose Legacy Home Care, serving Green Valley and Tucson Arizona announced today that Estella Dunlap has been nominated for the Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) 2024 Caregiver of the Year Award. Estella is recognized among the top 500 home caregivers nominated by home care agencies nationwide.

HCAOA received another record-breaking number of nominations for the Caregiver of the Year Award, reflecting the growing commitment to honor and celebrate the dedicated caregivers who provide exceptional care to their clients.

As the United States prepares for a future where nearly 81 million people will be 65 years and older by 2040, caregivers like Estella are crucial in supporting the aging population and easing the strain on the healthcare system.

This national program spotlights caregivers nationwide who deliver crucial care and support in the comfort of their client's homes, from assisting with daily tasks like bathing and dressing to providing vital medication reminders for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Estella, was born for this role. Every client she works with requests her return or asks for her as their primary caregiver, which poses quite a delightful challenge for our scheduling team. Estella exudes confidence and strength while bringing calm and joy wherever she goes. She makes our clients feel safe, enabling her to help those who are afraid to get out of bed or leave the house. Estella involves these individuals in activities that inspire them to do more. She doesn’t just care for our clients; she truly transforms their lives.

Jason Lee, CEO of HCAOA, commented, “The increase in nominations this year reflects the profound impact that dedicated caregivers have on their clients' lives. Through this award, we celebrate the unwavering dedication and the vital role caregivers play in enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.”

The top caregiver will be announced at the HCAOA National Home Care Conference on October 28 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue Hotel. The top caregiver will also receive a cash prize of $2,500 in recognition of their remarkable contributions.
