Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber Foundation Seeks Passionate Community Leaders for Board of Directors
Green Valley, AZ – The Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce Foundation is actively seeking one or two dynamic individuals to join its Board of Directors, beginning in July 2025. With a renewed focus on education, leadership development, and community advancement, the Foundation invites local leaders, changemakers, and passionate residents to consider serving in this impactful role.
Founded as a non-profit arm of the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce, the Foundation works at the intersection of business, education, and civic engagement. Its mission is clear: to build a stronger, more vibrant, and sustainable community through targeted programs that support workforce development, higher education pathways, and professional growth opportunities.
“The future of our region depends on intentional collaboration between business, education, and community leaders,” said Foundation Board Chair Doug Christy. “We’re looking for individuals who are ready to lean in—who believe in the power of mentorship, opportunity, and forward-thinking leadership.”
This fall, the Foundation is proud to launch the ElevateEdAZ Workforce Development Program, a collaborative initiative with the Phoenix Chamber Foundation, Sahuarita Unified School District, and the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce. The program will be implemented at Sahuarita and Walden Grove High Schools and is designed to prepare students for high-wage, high-demand careers right here in Southern Arizona.
Board members help shape the strategic direction of the Foundation and champion programs that empower both today’s workforce and tomorrow’s leaders. Chamber membership is not a requirement to serve—what matters most is a desire to make a difference.
