Valor volunteers come from all walks of life. They are homemakers, students, retirees and professionals. They all have one thing in common – compassion, heart and the desire to support and care for those facing end-of-life issues. If you can read a story, make a phone call, sit quietly or sit and listen, you can make a difference.
As a Valor Hospice volunteer, you will be trained in a flexible format that is customized to your individual schedule. After this you will receive a certificate of completion. You then will be assigned to a patient and start making weekly visits of one to four hours depending on the patient and their needs. Valor is always looking for bi-lingual volunteers.
