The Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce couldn’t possibly accomplish all they do without the tremendous support they get from a great group of volunteers. In appreciation of all they do, the Chamber held a Volunteer Luncheon on Saturday, October 4th at the LaPerla on the LaPosada Campus. Along with a great lunch and a few raffle prizes generously donated by member businesses, the group received a presentation by David Wanger, the man in charge of the new Green Valley Hospital that is under construction and due open in the spring of 2015.
The Chamber’s volunteers or “ambassadors”, better known locally as Embajadores, perform a host of duties. Working the front desk and helping visitors to the area is one of the most important. The Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber is an Arizona Office of Tourism designated Visitor’s Center and with that brings folks new to the area to our office asking questions about the community and getting information on places to go and things to see in Southern Arizona.
If you would like to find out more about the Chamber or the area, stop by our office located in the Long Realty building at 275 W. La Canada in Green Valley. If you have visitors, the Chamber is a place to go for them to see what Southern Arizona has to offer. See you soon!
